DIGITAL SIGNAGE

Digital Signage may be one of the more contemporary marketing tools to arrive on the scene. Yet it’s already having a profound impact on the way that corporations portray themselves in the marketplace. It’s giving Marketing VPs and Chief Revenue Officers options that simply didn’t exist just a few years ago.

What’s changing – with amazing rapidity – is the size and shape of objects to which LCD bulbs can be affixed. The digital signage industry began very modestly with larger and larger wall-mounted TV screens. However, it has rapidly expanded into larger-than-life panels that can convey artwork, colors, photography, and video at massive scale and resolution. The curved side of a building (pictured above) and the curved interior hallway wall (second column, top photo) are prime examples of what can be done with this burgeoning technology. But it hasn’t stopped there. Also available are digital billboards that can adorn roadways as well as walkways (first column, top photo). Rooftop digital signs have appeared as well (second column, middle photo). Digital signage has enabled companies to create command and control centers for governmental agencies (first column, bottom photo) as well as create futuristic looking exhibits which can be used at trade shows and conferences (second column, bottom photo).

The list of digital signage possibilities is long and getting longer.

Digital Signage Possibilities:

  • Curved Wall Panels

  • Digital Billboards

  • Hanging Digital Signs

  • Informational Maps and Displays

  • Interactive Kiosks

  • Side-of-Building Displays

  • Rooftop Displays

  • Trade Show Elements (booth components, welcome signs, etc.)

In the race to outshine one’s competitors, digital signage presents some exciting options that can help today’s marketers to attract larger crowds and tip the scales in their favor.
